On March 13th, Sensys celebrated its 15th Anniversary!

The occasion was marked by a lunch gathering employees and friends at the Gardens restaurant, located in Paço do Lumiar, Lisbon. It was a time to reminisce about the company's beginnings and to take stock of its activity.

The market instability, driven by a pandemic that forced companies to rethink their priorities and alter trajectories, was undoubtedly the ultimate test. Sensys weathered the economic uncertainties, even reinforcing its position in both national and international markets. It expanded, developed other business areas, increased its human resources, and solidified its financial standing. The balance is clearly positive. Sensys is now a major corporate group, operating across various continents, offering a wide range of services and solutions built upon excellent partnerships. Aware of market volatility and the constant need to question and rethink new strategies tailored to their demands, Sensys positions itself as a forward-thinking company, at the forefront of emerging trends and the needs of its clients. It is, therefore, deserving of congratulations! It extends its gratitude to everyone - employees, clients, and suppliers - who have walked alongside it over these 15 years, making this company a benchmark brand.

For the second phase of the SC Braga Sports City project – Multi-Purpose Pavilion, Residential and Administrative Area, and Mini Stadium – a project valued at 22.5 million euros, SENSYS was the company selected for the supply and installation of energy systems. For this purpose, 2 Generators of 451kVA, 2 UPS 150kVA, and 14 UPS of 2kVA were provisioned.

The conversion of the unfinished Olympic swimming pool, adjacent to the Municipal Stadium of Braga, allowed the club to accommodate a multi-purpose pavilion with a capacity for 1030 spectators, a museum, a residential area with 50 rooms, a club shop, an administrative area, SAD offices, social and leisure areas, a dining hall, a restaurant, a gym, a parking lot for 250 spaces, among other facilities.

In the context of a partnership with the OMATAPALO Group in Angola, SENSYS was the chosen brand for one more large-scale project. As the company responsible for the provision and installation of special solutions for the Luanda’s Sanatorium Hospital’s 12MW power generation plant, SENSYS will provide the whole building with cutting-edge equipment and solutions.

 For that purpose, it will install 4 Diesel SYSGEN-H 2158 (2.158kVA/unitary) groups, 3 SYSGEN-H 1815 (1.815kVA/unitary) generators and 2 SYSGEN-H 1444 (1.444kVA/unitary) generators, totalling a net power superior/equal to 12MW.
 

SENSYS will also be responsible for providing and installing all the diesel mechanical infrastructure, pipelines, tanks and network.

The proposed solution thus provides 2 (two) separate and redundant power lines to feed critical loads.

Last weekend, SENSYS successfully concluded the provision and commissioning of 2 Modular UPSs in one of Lisbon’s biggest Data Centers that has been developed for several entities, among others, government institutions. For that purpose, ancient UPS systems in conventional parallel-redundant have been dismantled and two 1000-kW (FP1) SYS CENTRIX modular units have been installed, in parallel, with 50 W individual modules with “Plug & Play e Hot-Swap” design and an 800-kW installed unit capacity.

Featuring sophisticated design, the state-of-the-art, modular, scalable and N+1 redundant SYS CENTRIX UPS offers a high level of power efficiency, ensuring maximum security, redundancy and continued operation with a significant gain in what regards energy costs. This green energy protection system assures exceptional reliability, maximizing uptime, to offer 99,9999% availability, simultaneously contributing to a reduction of the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

Last Thursday, the 19th of September, the most recent NOS Data Center saw its opening in Ponta Delgada, S. Miguel, in the Azores islands. The investment on the new infrastructure, in the context of the reinforcement of the company’s services offer, will allow for an increased capacity and effectiveness of corporate services, responding to the digital society growing needs. WORKTEL, the company responsible for the infrastructure’s works, development and implementation, equipped all the buildings with the most modern and efficient technology. To this end, SENSYS’ Equipment was chosen, namely: one 167kVA Diesel Generator Group, SYSTEMAIR High Precision Close Control Systems, CCTV Active Security and Access Control Systems

AZORES’ NOS Data Center gathers all the resources for support and installation of aaS solutions, including Technical Rooms, where latest generation data computing and storage systems will be hosted.

The new infrastructure, in the words of Manuel Ramalho Eanes, NOS administrator, “will contribute to enhance the company’s capacity in its support to its own activity and in the service to its corporate clients in the Azores, namely in what concerns Cloud services, Managed Services, IoT and Data Analytics”.

The new Universal Church of the Kingdom of God’s (IURD) state-wide church, in Palmas/TO, Brazil, that is being built by the Portuguese construction company Teixeira Duarte, will soon be completed. With a 7665m2 construction area, these works bear the stamp of SENSYS BRASIL, as the company responsible for the provision of services regarding the executive project, provision and special installations integration, namely: CATV, CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Detection/Fire alarm, Mobile, Gate Automation and Video Wall Systems. SENSYS BRASIL was also in charge of providing and installing the complete Uninterruptible Power System (NoBreak).
